    I think they meant to say it isn’t a song because there is no vocal part. No singing technically means it’s not a song, though I agree it was a bit pretentious to point it out.
    And it’s both instrumental and classical…

    I believe what they meant to say is that songs are sung, pieces are played. This is not a song by definition, and musically speaking it shows ignorance to call it so.
